Theme:

We are called to be God’s children in the Sacrament of Baptism. We are strengthened and nourished through the love of Jesus in the Eucharist. We are called to love others and to see the value in asking of forgiveness.

Objective:

Jesus is our role model for living a Christian life.

Prayers:

Should know all prayers learned in Pre-Kinder - 2nd Grade plus these new prayers:

  • The Rosary

  • Hail, Holy Queen

  • Prayer for my vocation

Goals:

  • Baptism invites us to be part of God’s life.

  • Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary

  • Mary is the mother of Jesus and is our mother, too.

  • Jesus was crucified and died on Good Friday and rose from the dead on Easter.

  • Jesus came to save all persons.

  • Jesus is present in us through the grace of God.

  • We are a community when we gather in Jesus’ name.

  • The sacraments are signs of God’s love.

  • Three of the seven sacraments are:

  • Baptism: We share in God’s grace and become members of God’s family.

  • Penance: We celebrate the grace of God’s forgiveness of our sins.

  • Eucharist: We celebrate the gift of the body and blood of Jesus. We celebrate this community at Mass.

  • Living our life as Jesus did enables us to have everlasting life.

  • Jesus wants us to love one another and to be at peace with one another.
